Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving Program at 6:30 pm. Students are to wear red, white and/or blue. Please have your child come to the classroom at 6:15 pm.
Our Thanksgiving snack with first grade went well today and the children loved wearing their Native American costumes. (The previous post had the wrong day so we sent out a newsletter on Monday with the correct day.)
We will not be sending homework this Friday. The students can continue practicing the sight words and reading books with you. Enjoy your vacation time with family and making memories with your children.
Reading: Meet Alf, ending sound /g/, beginning and middle sound /a/,
Math: Numbers to 10
Religion: God Gave us animals/ Sign of the Cross
Science: All about Animals
Social Studies: Our Rights
Sight Words: at, go, it, green
Sweatshirts and Sweaters:
Please label all sweatshirts and sweaters. No iron clothing labels are a great way to do this. You can write your child's name on them, they stick on (no ironing), and stay on in the washer and dryer. Remember, only OLM sweatshirts are allowed to be worn in the classroom. Non OLM sweatshirts may be worn outside, during recess times.
Our field trip to Hunter Farms is October 23rd. We will leave at 8:10am and return by 11:30 am. Permission slips will be coming home soon. Chaperones must have completed the required safe environment training, cleared fingerprints, and turned in the forms for driving (see office for these).
Please bring in a photo of your pet. We are making a poster for the Blessing of the Animals Mass. Due 9/25/19.
