It's a busy week!  We have the writing festival submissions due on Friday.  Penance Services on Thurs and our 4th grade class mass on Friday!!  Please join us if you are able to attend!

Reminder to turn in your receipts from Target, Merced Mall, and all participating stores in the shopping area.  A percentage from each receipt will be donated to the school, so we really appreciate everyone's participation.

Religion- This week we will be practicing for our class mass on Friday 3/6.  We will also be starting adoration this week with our faith families and continue every Wednesday in the chapel during Lent.  
Math- Cumulative Review of chapters 3 and 4.  Please make sure they are studying their times tables every night!  We will be a taking timed test this week, and try to take one every day next week.  It is our goal to get all of their math facts memorized by 5th grade!  They can do it!!! Please work together and quiz them and keep them motivated!
Language Arts- Reading Chapters 11 & 12 "The Indian in the Cupboard."  Reading comprehension questions and discussions.  They need to study their vocabulary words from last week for the test on Thurs.  Reading Comprehension test Chapters 7-12 will be on Friday.  Grammar- plural nouns ending in -y, singular and plural possessive nouns. Spelling Unit 20. Writing- Point of View short story and response to literature. 
Social Studies- Week 25 "The Effects of the Gold Rush" Read and highlight important facts.  Crossword puzzle and think and review questions.  Compare and contrast- Venn diagram on the experiences of the Mexican, Chinese, and African Americans during the Gold Rush.  Write a letter to the legislators to persuade them to stop mistreating and taking advantage of Native Americans.
Science- Read and discuss lesson 4 "How Can People Help Restore Damaged Ecosystems?"  Lesson review questions.  WB 73 and WB 74.  Chapter 5 test will be next week.
