Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope you are wearing green, eating corn beef and cabbage, and of course, chocolate chip mint ice cream (this is for the children)!
Please check your child's teacher's blog! We continue to update and add to blog posts. As a way to know who is online and completing some of the assignments, please send pictures and videos of your child's work. We want to praise all accomplishments! You will also be receiving invitations to join EPIC books (getepic.org). The teachers are setting up their classrooms and you will receive an email to join the classroom. Once joined, you will have books and videos to read and watch with your child. There will also be assignments for your child to complete. Mrs. Veronica has set up a private Facebook group where she will be posting her lessons and assignments. Please confirm the friend request. You will be able to post/share your child's work in this group. At this time, there are no date changes on when we are reopening the school. I will contact you if any changes are announced. God Bless, Mrs. Mary Good Afternoon OLM Preschool Families,
The teachers are working hard to get information to you. Please check your email and the teacher blogs on the OLM website. As of today, all of the teachers and I are working remotely. Again if you need to reach me, please email mary.kravec@olmlancers.com Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! Please pray for his intersession tomorrow in a special way for all of the students, families, and staff of OLM/St.Patrick's school and parish. Don't forget to wear green and have a special "green snack." The preschool usually eats chocolate chip mint ice cream! I will keep you updated daily on this blog and email you if more directives come from the Diocese or the State. I encourage you to pray the Rosary for the end of the coronavirus. Just google "how to pray the Rosary" if you need a refresher. God Bless and stay healthy! At this time, all of you should have received notice that Bishop Brennen directed all Catholic schools in the Diocese of Fresno to be closed from Monday, March 16th to March 27th. School will resume on Monday, March 30th. I will be keeping you updated throughout this closure through email (mary.kravec@olmlancers.com). Please do not call the office. IF you or a family member becomes ill with the coronavirus, you must notify me. This is imperative for the health of all who work and attend OLM school. Thank you!
There have been questions regarding our See's Candy fundraiser. Thank you for participating. The only way to continue this fundraiser will be with our online storefront: https://www.yumraising.com/secure/olmp_our_lady_of_mercy_preschool53/candy?h=MarKra1627&c=fb2037 You can place your orders online and the candy will be shipped directly to you. HOWEVER, you will have to pay shipping. If your order costs too much in shipping, I would return the money to those who ordered and send them the link above. They can place the order themselves and you would not incur the shipping cost. Of course, you can return the money to those who ordered and just not participate in the fundraiser. My hope is that this fundraiser can still be successful for the preschool. Please email me if you need further clarification. Parent/Teacher conferences for Mrs. Veronica, Ms. Irma, and Mrs. Donavan are postponed. When school resumes, I will determine if and when we can reschedule conferences. Bunny pictures have been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 1st. Priority registration for returning students will be extended until April 20th. If requested, I am happy to email the 2020 Summer Admission Agreement, as well as, the 2020-2021 Admission Agreement to you. This is for returning students only. Finally, the teachers are working to get instructional information out through their blogs, www.olmlancers.com and email. Please, in the next two weeks, take time to work with your child. Also, instructional packets went home on Friday. If you did not pick up your packet, you can come by the school on Monday from 8:30am-12:00pm. The packets will be outside, by the gate, with your child's name on it. The gate will be open. If it is raining, the packets will be by the outside bathrooms. This will be the only opportunity to pick up the instructional materials. I understand this is a trying time and hope all of you stay healthy! Be assured of our prayers and let us all pray for those who are sick, for those who have died and for their loved ones, and for the eradication of the coronavirus. God Bless, Mrs. Mary Just a reminder that school will be closed from Monday, February 17th thru Friday, February 21st.
Have a great week off and we will see you on Monday, February 24th! Home Link 18
Above is the home link to our social/emotional curriculum. Please review the concepts in this week's lesson with your child. Thank you! |
