Last week was very eventful and completely amazing! As a class we were invited to join all school Mass for the Crowning of Mother Mary and the children did extremely well! Thank you to all my OLM families that were able to bring the children a little earlier that helped out tremendously. As a class we have been doing a lot of review of the entire school year and talking all about growing up and moving on.

Now we welcome the month of May! I know this month will go in a blink of an eye so I am going to soak up everything I can. April was extremely packed with Noah's Ark, the three R's, Social and Emotional, letters, shapes, colors, names and so much more! May we will concentrate on Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring our Grandparents, Lady of Fatima, reviewing the rosary and review.

We as a class learned all about Wassily Kandinsky the Russian painter. He would listen to music to feel his art so as a class we did just that! I have posted their art work outside and I'm so glad to see everyone enjoying looking at them. We have also been working hard learning all about the 3 R's; Reduce, Recycle and Reuse, they have caught on fast that it is everyone's job to take care of the planet!

The children last week learned about Wassily Kandinsky who was a Russian painter. Kandinsky is generally credited as the pioneer of abstract art and loved to paint with listening to music. The children was able to listen to four different genres and paint what they felt from the music. All of the children's art work is posted outside of the classroom, I do hope everyone gets a chance to check out their amazing work! The children have been doing so well learning all about Lent, Stations of the Cross, Saint Patrick and Saint Joseph. Today is the start of Holy week; Palm Sunday and this week, as a class we will be concentrating all about Holy Week. Thursday is our Easter Celebration, please feel free to bring items that you have signed up for earlier (if you like!), we will also as a class on Thursday see the 8th graders put on Stations of the cross. I am very excited for the children to see this because they have been working extremely hard on learning all about the Stations of the cross. Thursday we are closed promptly at 12:30 and Friday we are closed for our Spring break. I do hope all of you enjoy family time and have a blessed Easter.
