Upcoming Events:
This week in class: Phonics- "el" sound at the ending of words. We will continue to review other digraphs/ ending sounds we have learned so far ("ch," "sh," "wh," and "th", and "ng") Reading- "Oswald Pretends" (fluency practice), "Fiddlesticks" (fiction passage) , "Bubbles" (Super Duper Informational Story). We will continue to practice fluency and comprehension, and learn about non-fiction elements. LA/ Writing- Identify facts and opinions; Generate and write opinions with supporting reasons. Antonyms Religion- Parts of the Mass/ Practice Math-We will be finishing addition this week, but continue to practice our math facts daily. We will be skipping the chapter on subtraction to give students more time to develop fluency in addition facts. We will start studying 2-D shapes.
