We made it through our first week of Google Classroom! I want to thank all of you for your feedback and patience with me as we navigate our new virtual classroom! Starting next week, I would like for everyone to submit work through Google Classroom. I will be talking to Mr. Dimpsey about helping  anyone who is still confused about how to do that. Please let me know if anyone still needs a basic schedule posted each day. It seems like everyone is getting pretty comfortable finding the work for each day in the classroom. I am looking forward to seeing the kids again today for story time! I hope everyone can join me! Check your emails for more details! If you can't make it, I hope you have a relaxing weekend with your family!

Welcome to our second week of online learning! I see most of you have joined Google Classroom! If you haven't done so yet, please check your child's school gmail for the invite. You will see that starred assignments are the assignments that need to be turned in by Sunday each week. Feel free to submit assignments earlier than the due date. Although we are not submitting ALL assignments, the assignments listed under each daily heading are very important.

You will also find supplemental and enrichment ideas under the following headings: Enrichment-Online Resources, Enrichment ELA, and Enrichment Math. Please be patient with me as I add new material to each of these topics! :) Online resources, such as IXL or Superkids Online Fun, are great resources to use each day, but they will only be required on days you find them under the daily assignments. Those of you with multiple children may find these sites useful as early finisher activities, if one child gets done quicker than the other. Some other early finisher activities your child is used to doing in class include making a card for someone, measuring objects around the room, word searches, or reading a book.

I will post a simple schedule of the assignments you should be doing each day here on the blog and in an announcement on Google Classroom (under STREAM). Remember that your child will not be spending 6 hours a day doing school work and that is OKAY! Go outside and play or do a scavenger hunt, play a board game, bake something with your child and let them do the measuring, build something, read a story and then practice retelling by acting it out! There are lots of ways we can bond with our children while LEARNING! Also, don't forget to let them interact with their classmates during our Zoom hang out time (M-F, 1-2pm)! Lastly, be on the lookout for a Zoom Small Group Meeting invite. I am thinking about 15 minutes for each group every Friday. If that doesn't work for the majority of you, we can change it! As always, feel free to email me with any questions, comments, or concerns. I would love feedback on what is working and what is not because this is all new to me too! Happy learning!

Happy Friday! Invites have been sent for Google Classroom to your child's school email. Please see your child's planner for their email and password. Feel free to email me with any questions. Remember, we won't start with Google Classroom until Monday! I have also set up a classroom Prodigy account. Watch for an email with instructions about how to login this morning. Prodigy is optional at this point, but I may require it in the future. Please check in again today by logging onto IXL or Superkids and having your child work for 15 minutes. Enjoy your weekend!

Good morning! Today I am hosting a zoom meeting at 2:30 pm. For those of you who are able to participate, please download the app or go to the website on a laptop or desktop to join. No sign up is required. You can just click the link through the email I sent out yesterday or enter the code. Please email me if you need help or didn't get the email.  At the end of our meeting, the kiddos might enjoy saying hi to each other!

For today's check in, please have your child work on Superkids or IXL again for at least 15 minutes.

Today, on the feast of St. Joseph, the Pope is calling for a worldwide Rosary of the Luminous Mysteries at 9pm Rome time or 1pm our time.  You can also find this at lacatholics.org/rosary.

For today's check in, I would like your child to spend at least 15 minutes on Superkids OR IXL. See below for directions to logging in. I will be checking early this evening to see who has logged in and use that to take attendance today. If you have trouble logging in or if there is an issue, please contact me as soon as possible! I am also planning on hosting a Zoom meeting for parents tomorrow at 2:30 to check in with everyone, take questions, discuss Google Classroom and what online learning will look like moving forward. Please RSVP in the comments, if you are interested in attending! I will post more information this evening or tomorrow morning.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Thank you to those of you who emailed and checked in with me yesterday. If you didn't email me, please make sure to do that today and everyday so that I am able to take attendance. That is the only way I will know you are seeing these posts. Today I am posting a fun (optional) virtual spirit week challenge for your child to participate in. If you choose to participate, your daily check in email will include a picture of your child participating in the challenge! I am also posting a few (optional) St. Patrick's Day read aloud stories for your child to listen to. You would need to download a qr code app to your phone. The camera works like a qr code reader on some IPADS, as well. Visit my teacher Pinterest page(see right) for ideas about other activities to do at home with your children! As always, email me with questions or concerns! Hope everyone has a happy and healthy day!
