This week in class:
Phonics- "er" and "ed" sound at the ending of words. We will continue to review other digraphs/ ending sounds  we have learned so far 

Reading- "Best Sandbox Ever"/ "Lily's Deserts Project"- fictional texts with a focusing on understanding characters/ "Super Smart The Pyramids"- non fiction text with a focus on understanding text features

LA/ Writing- Narrative Writing- Focus on writing a topic sentence and supporting details/ present and past tense verbs

Religion- Baptism/Practice for Class Mass

Math- Subtraction

Social Studies- Fact or Fiction

Memory words: look, your, the, was, are, for

Spelling words:  after, never, better, winter, summer, rested, twisted, planted, printed, acted

Other Notes:

• Please check and sign your child's planner nightly.   
• If you have not submitted your field trip form/ money, please do so asap.  If you signed up to drive, please make sure you are safe environment cleared and have turned in your driver form to the office.  Even if you turned them in last year, you have to redo your drivers forms for this year!
• Book fair is coming up!  It will be open Monday, October 21 - Thursday, October 24- 8am - 4pm/ Friday, October 25- 8am - 3pm.  Below is the link for more information:
