Week of 12/2

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving Break! This is going to be a fast and busy month. We will be participating in the Christmas program on Wednesday, December 18th at St. Patrick's Church. We will need drivers that week to help transport students to and from the Church for rehearsal. Look for details in your child's folder or planner! If you have not returned your child's progress report, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you!

This week in class:
Phonics- Endings- adding "s" to CVCe words

Reading-Fiction Passages: "A Gift I Like"/ "The Very Best Gift"- We will practice reading fluency, comprehension, and understanding picture-text relationships.  Non-fiction- "That's Fast!"-focus on text features and main ideas.

LA/ Writing- Sequencing/Personal Messages

Math- Word Problems/ Fact Families/Addition fact fluency

Religion- Advent/ Practice for Advent Skit and Christmas program

Memory words: oh, any, day, good, very, want

Spelling words: likes, bakes, cakes, bikes, hopes, hikes, snakes, ropes, makes, takes

Vocabulary: speedy, swiftly, distance, skilled
