Thank you everyone for coming to our kindergarten moving on parade. It was so fun to see everyone once again.
This has been a memorable year, Mrs. deLeon and I will look back on the time spent with the children fondly. We look forward to seeing all that they will accomplish in the years to come. Thank you also for the thoughtful cards and gifts. It was very kind of you to think of us. Best wishes for a healthy and enjoyable summer. Love, Mrs. Gargano & Mrs. deLeon p.s. I hope you enjoyed the video. I had a lot of fun making it. -S

Come join us for a drive thru kindergarten moving on parade! Date: Monday June 1st, 2020
Time: 6:00 pm-7 Place: OLM back circle. Beep, shout, honk, wave and help celebrate the end of the Kindergarteners first year at school. Be sure to stay in your car. We will bring your child's certificate to you. I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial day. Even though it’s not a school day I ask that you say a quick prayer for all those that sacrificed everything for the freedoms we have today.
Check your child’s email for the zoom meeting invite. We are taking a virtual field trip to the beach. Dress up as though you are going to the beach! Also, I need pictures of the students holding a sign that says “I did it!” Or “First grade, here I come!” Or something like that. These are due Wednesday. You can find a printable version online or make your own. These are going into our end of the year slideshow that I am putting together. See attachment below for an example. The big books are ready. You can pick them up on Thursday May 28th am-12pm/4:30-6:30pm or Friday 7-10am. To recognize the culmination of the kindergarten year we will have a drive through ceremony. Once I have a date I will send that out to you. Most likely first week of June. I will give you the date as soon as I can. Hope everyone's week is going well. This is our last academic week. We will have a final zoom meeting next week. Please go to your child's google classroom daily for attendance and up to date information.
Next week Tuesday at 9:30 am we will be having a virtual field trip to the beach. The children will join in a zoom meeting and from there I will take them to the beach...virtually. This will give us plenty of time to: Talk with each other Draw and share sandcastles while listening to the waves on the beach Listen to a story Visit the jellyfish at Monterey Bay Aquarium Play a game Dance to Baby Shark all while social distancing! I hope everyone will make this final zoom meeting. Additionally, the big books are ready! You can pick up the big books Thursday the 28th or Friday the 29th see the newsletter for times. (It just went out in the mail.) I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to tackle the last academic week of distance learning!
Whole Class Monday Morning Zoom meeting invitation was sent to your lancers email. Have a paper and pencil handy. See you there! I hope all the mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day. Everyone has done an amazing job working hard to ensure their child continues their education throughout this Covid situation. You are all amazing!
Zoom meetings this week are Monday (whole class) and Tuesday with reading groups. I will not have zoom meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. I will have a whole class zoom meeting on Friday morning at 9 for a story and Show 'N Tell. Ideas for Show 'N Tell --an art project, a favorite toy, a favorite shirt, a pet, or even a joke. Be sure to check your child's email for the zoom meeting invitations. This is the easiest way to join the meeting. Also, join the meeting a few minutes early to ensure you aren't left waiting in the waiting room. Once the meeting gets started it is hard to monitor if anyone is waiting to join the meeting. For daily attendance check into the google classroom. All announcements and assignments are posted there daily. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Reading Groups 3 & 4 Zoom meetings invitations have been sent to your email. See you there! I will be sending out a zoom meeting invitation to your child's email. Be sure to check your child's google classroom for daily attendance and the weekly lessons.
Come join in a livestream Adoration directly from OLM school chapel at noon Friday 4/10.
