12/18/17 Kindergarten Newsletter

Christmas Party:  A sign up sheet will be outside the classroom door. Come sign up to bring something for our Christmas party.  The party will be Friday at 10:30. 
 
Attention Parents:
If your child is sick they may not return to class unless they do not have a fever or diarrhea and are not vomiting for 24 hours.  While this may be inconvenient our goal is to provide a healthy environment for all the children.  Please  do not send your child to school if they are ill.  Your consideration in this matter will help our little ones stay healthy this winter.
 
Spirit of Christmas: Student council is sponsoring an all school Christmas Food Drive. Please bring in a can of green beans, corn or peas.  Thank you for those that have already brought in a donation.
 
Auction:
Mrs. Yorba is collecting donations for our Classroom Auction item.  Thank you to all who have sent in their contribution.  If you have not done so, please send in $20 as soon as possible.  Our class is donating a playhouse to the auction.  Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Homework: 
No homework will be sent home this week.  Homework will be sent home the Friday that we return to school.
 
Please continue to practice letter and number recognition (upper and lower case) letter sound association, and sight words. We are also working on ordinal numbers (first, second, third, etc.) rhyming words, in addition to blending and segmenting words (b-a-t, bat), and writing.

12/20  Christmas Program 6:30 at St. Pat’s
12/22 Free Dress & Minimum Day  12:30 Dismissal.
1/8/18  School resumes
 
Don’t forget Friday dismissal is at 12:30.  
There is no Extended Care on this day!
