Tomorrow is 50's style free dress. If you choose to not wear 50's style you must wear your regular uniform.
Next week is Catholic Schools Week and a very busy week. Please refer to the schedule below. Catholic Schools Week Schedule: Jan. 29th - February 3rd Sunday - * Mass at St. Patricks 9am. Wear your uniform. Monday- * Community Appreciation * Movie With Faith Families Tuesday- * Buddy Day: Bring a gift for your buddy ($2-$3) Our Buddies are our 8th grade Faith Family Leaders * Bring a sack lunch---No Hot Lunch today or tomorrow. * Blue and White Free Dress – wear OLM Spirit shirt. Wednesday – Cherish Luncheon. *Bring a sack lunch---NO HOT LUNCH. Thursday – * Bring a canned food item in and wear your favorite team gear. *Father/Son and Mother/Daughter Basketball Games 6:00p.m. Friday – * Drop Students off at St. Patrick’s Church. Arrive by 7:50 a.m. Kindergarteners must have their car/booster seat. * Teacher vs. 8th grade volleyball game 11:30 * Dismissal is at 12:30 International Night International Night is Wednesday, February 8th. We are studying India. If you have any items from India that we can borrow to put on display, we would be very grateful. Parent helpers are also needed on this night. Is anyone willing to cook an Indian dish? Please let me know if you can help. Valentine’s Day We will celebrate St. Valentine’s Day on, Tuesday February 14th. Students are allowed to share Valentines with their classmates. There are 29 students in our class. Your child should write his or her name in the “from” space and leave the "to" space blank. 1/20/17 Sight Words of the Week: me. at, here, this, was, saw We are writing more and more every day. It is important that they know the sight words and alphabet sounds (phonics). Review these daily. Also, please help your child practice at home writing simple sentences (ex. I see a rainbow. It is big. It is pretty. I like the rainbow.) OLM Annual Auction: The auction is January 28th. It is always a fun night and a great opportunity to support our school. Drivers Needed: We need drivers for the All school Mass on Friday February 3rd. This counts for service hours. You must have attended the safe environment meeting, cleared fingerprints and turn in driving forms into the office. Catholic Schools Week: January 29th will kick off Catholic Schools Week. Mass is at St. Patrick's Church at 9am. Make sure your child wears their school uniform to the Mass if they are attending. REMINDERS: Please follow the dress code as outlined in the parent handbook. Some items that are worn are not acceptable. Remember, leggings are not allowed only socks and tights are acceptable. Boots are not part of the dress code. Dates: 1/28 OLM Auction 1/31 Blue and White Free Dress 2/3 ALL SCHOOL MASS 9 am at St. Pat’s Auction: Our Annual Auction is Saturday January 28th. Come support our school and have a good time!

We will need drivers for All School Mass on February 3rd. If you want to drive make sure all appropriate paperwork is turned in to the office before Wednesday Feb 1st. January 4, 2017 Welcome back to school, I hope that you all had a restful and wonderful vacation. Mrs. de Leon and I would like to thank all of you for the very thoughtful cards, gifts and best wishes given to us for Christmas. We are so thankful to have such wonderful parents and students. Homework Packets: We will send out the new homework packet on Friday. Report Cards: Report cards go home Friday. Please read, sign and return as soon as possible. Take Home Books: Beginning next week we will be sending home "Little Readers" for you and your child to read together. We will send these home every Monday and Wednesday. The folder will have a letter further explaining this packet. Please fill out the attached form and return them the following day. OLM Auction: The annual auction is coming up soon. I encourage everyone to attend. It is a fun evening and an excellent opportunity to meet other parents. |
