Parents,
Wow! The school year is going by so fast. It's seems like it was just Halloween and the kids were excited about which costume they would be wearing on Halloween. Mrs. de Leon and I have enjoyed helping the children learn new skills and watching them grow. We can't wait to see how much they will accomplish in 2020. Don't forget, tomorrow is a half day. Dismissal is at 12:30. There is no Extended Care. We will be having our class party at snack time (10:30ish) so you do not need to send your child with a snack. No homework will be sent home this week. Enjoy this time with your families making lasting memories. Homework will be sent home the Friday that we return to school. If you want to do homework, here is a list of things your child can work on: Write the alphabet Write the sight words Write numbers to 100 Write simple sentences using sight words. (I see the yellow cat. it can purr. The cat is soft and fluffy.) It's ok to let them use phonetic spelling. Play board games. Play card games Read a story together. Help them learn to tie their shoes. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. -Mrs. Gargano and Mrs. de Leon
