Please continue to practice recognizing and writing: sight words, letter recognition and phonics. We will continue working on these skills in class. In addition, we will continue practicing identifying beginning, middle and ending sounds, rhyming and writing numbers to 1 -30.
Please bring in a plain white men's sized t-shirt (new or gently used). We will use it to make a Native American costume. Halloween Carnival: Thank you to all who helped run our booths. The evening was a lot of fun for the children. Uniform: It is time to put away the shorts and bring out the pants. Boys must wear the navy corduroy pants and girls must wear the plaid jumper. Pink socks, shoes, and shoelaces can be packed away till next year. Fall Program: We are in the Fall Program. Children are to wear their Sunday best and meet in our classroom by 6:15 p.m. Uniforms: Its cold out there! Time for sweatshirts/sweaters. Please label them. We try very hard to make sure your child does not lose their sweatshirts, labeling them helps. Thanksgiving Snack: It is tradition here at OLM for the Kindergarten (Native Americans) to host a Thanksgiving snack for the First graders (Pilgrims). We will have a small Thanksgiving snack with 1st grade class on Thursday November 16th.. Reminders: 10/31 Halloween Costume Parade - wear your costume. 11/1 Mass Day.
