Grade 5: 
 This week will be doing lessons Advanced lessons 3 and 4 on the Typing.com website. 

Grade 6: 
We will be continuing with our outlining of the Stephen Hawking Wikipedia page.
Homework is a question of the week and a typing speed test.

Grade 7:
We will be learning about MLA Formatted In-Text Citations this week. from their interviews. 
There will be a typing speed test and Question of the Week this week for homework.

Grade 8:
We will start presenting out Saint PowerPoints this week. 
There will be a typing speed test and a question of the week this week for homework.

Grade 5:
Will be STAR Testing this week. This Week is the STAR Reading test. 

Grade 6:
 Will be working on taking the works cited from their Web Search/MLA Works Cited worksheet and creating an MLA formatted Works Cited page. Things needed to created an MLA formatted Works Cited page:
1. Times New Roman
2. Font size 12
3. Double spaced
4. 1 inch margins
5. "Works Cited" Center in the middle of the page. 
6. the rest of the page aligned left. 
7. The first line of every Works Cited is not indented but every additional line in that Works Cited is indented 1/2 an inch. 
8. In the upper right hand corner should be your last name followed by a page number. 
Homework will be a typing speed test due Thursday and the work cited page will be your question of the week and it will be due Friday. 

Grade 7:
You will be working on your third body paragraph of our country essay. You will have a typing speed test due by Thursday and a question of the week due by Friday. 

Grace 8:
You will be starting your Google Slide Presentations about yourself this week. As listeners you will need to write down 5 facts about every presenter you are present for you will use these for your question of the week this week. Homework a typing speed test due by Thursday and a question of the week due by Friday.

Grade 5:
 You will be working on lessons 7 and 8 this week. If you do not finish up to lesson 8 it is homework.

Grade 6:
This is the last week we will be working in class together on the worksheet for MLA Works Citing / Web Search. Whatever we do not finish in class is homework and must be turned in by Friday Nov 1. You also have a typing speed test due by Friday.

Grade 7:
We will be workin on peer reading each others essays again in class this week. You will be looking for MLA errors, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and fluidity during your peer reading. You will have a typing speed test due by Thursday and a question of the week due by Friday.

Grade 8: 
Since I will only have you for half a class this week I will give you one more week to refine your presentations before we start giving them next week unless you feel you are ready to present this week. You will have a typing speed test due Thursday and a question of the week due Friday.

Grade 5:
You will be working on lessons 4 and 5 only this week. Only if you do not finish lessons 4 and 5 in class is it homework.

Grade 6:
No Class this week due to Camp

Grade 7:
This week if you did not peer edit last week you will peer edit this week. If you are not finished with your 1st body paragraph you need to finish your 1st body paragraph. If you have finished your 1st body paragraph you will start working on your 2nd body paragraph. 

Grade 8:
This week you will start working on your "About Me" Google Slide Presentation.
Items required in your slide show:
  • ​Every item on every slide must have some form of animation
  • You must have transition animation between each slide frame
  • You must have 5 total slides: 1 title slide, 4 slides of information
  • On your information slides you need bulleted information
  • You must have a title on each slide indication what you will be discussing on that slide
  • You must have 1 or more images on each slide that relate to the topic being discussed
  • You must have a theme background
  • You must have a shape, arrow, and line some where in your presentation
  • You can choose your fond and font color as long as it compliments your chosen theme.

Grade 5:
This week you will be doing lessons 2 and 3 only in class. If you do not finish up to lesson 3 in class it is homework. If you finish up to lesson 3 you can go back and restart lesson 1 and work back to lesson 3. I do not want you to go beyond lesson 3.

Grade 6:
This week we will be continuing with our MLA Work Citing / Web Search worksheet in class. You have a typing speed test due Thursday and a question of the week due Friday.

Grade 7:
This week you will be peer editing each others Intro paragraph. Things to look for while you are peer editing. 
1. Is the paragraph understandable, does it flow. Do you get caught up on any part of the paragraph. 
2. Are there any grammar or spelling errors
3. Are there any errors with punctuation
4. Does the document meet that standard settings for MLA format. 
You will write a short paragraph at the bottom of the page stating what changes you believe need to be done as well as writing into the paragraph any corrections you find. You will then turn in your peer editing with your name written on the bottom of the document. You will also have a typing speed test due Thursday and a question of the week due Friday.

Grade 8:
We will finish learning about the functions and tools in Google Slides 
1. Transition animation
2. Slide Animation
3. Review all the tools on the tool bar in Slides.

Grade 7: 
This week you will be working on your outline in class for your country report. We will review correct layout and MLA set up for an outline in class together. You will have a typing speed test due Thursday and a question of the week due Friday.

Grade 8:
We will continue learning about Google Slides and if we get done this week with learning the program you will begin putting together your first presentation about yourself. You will have a typing speed test due Thursday and a question of the week due Friday.
