This week we will be preparing for International Night. We have been writing information about Portugal and beginning our artwork. The event will be on February 8th. Thank you for all those who volunteers hours or to help bring in the food. I will be sending home a note for conformation sometime next week.

Please practice with your child to ensure their success. We will be having a Math test next week on Graphs which is chapter 13 in our book. Social Studies - We will be working on a Study Guide today so please study with your child each night. It will be on Chapter 5 Science - We are finishing up Chapter 3 this week. Expect a study guide to come home early next week and a test the following week. Religion - Holy trinity Phonics - Plurals and endings in words CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK WILL BE NEXT WEEK. The is our OLM School Auction and Dinner. All are encouraged to come to the event and help to celebrate by wearing your best 50's outfit. We will have the timed tests Tuesday -Thursday. Your child will need to master the multiplication facts up to the 9's. I am postponing chapters 8-10 in our math book for a month which should give everyone an adequate amount of time to master the multiplicatiton facts. In the meantime we will be moving on to Chapter 13 in Math which is different types of graphs. Please continue to work with your child in learning their multiplication facts. I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Christmas Vacation. It is hard to believe but we are officially 1/2 way through the school year. The time has gone by very fast. We will have an all School Mass on Friday at 8:15 am. All are welcome to attend. Report Cards will go home Friday. Be sure to talk to your child about their conduct in and out of class. I will be keeping a daily log to help with conduct grades and hope to put them in computer weekly. We have begun Cursive Handwriting. We will be learning a new letter each day. My goal is to have each student writing cursive by the end of the year. Your child will not write assignments in cursive until I feel they have mastered the handwriting instruction. In the fourth grade they will write all assingments in cursive except for spelling tests. English - Unit 7 Adjectives p. 208-211 Reading - Cactus Hotel Math - We will begin our timed tests tomorrow. We will begin with the 2's and work our way through the 9's.
