Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Your child may bring in Valentine cards for the whole class.  We have 32 students.  Please only write who the Valentine is from.  This makes it easier to pass out during class time.  We will be having a treat around 1:45 and share our Valentine's.  

Free Dress tomorrow!! MUST WEAR RED, WHITE OR PINK.  PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW DRESS CODE WEARING ONE OR ALL COLORS.

Reading and Spelling - We have begun reading a chapter book called My Father's Dragon.  We will read a few chapters a week and have a reading comprehension test along with spelling on Friday.  Your child has a book checked out to them so they are responsible for the book the whole time.

International Night is tomorrow, February 8th from 6-7:30 pm.  Parents who signed up to help from 5:30-6 will be helping to set up.  If you have signed up to help please come at your designated time and if you have signed up to bring food you may send it with your child in the morning or bring it around 5:30 pm.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  I have told the students their homework is to attend the event. Math - Chapter 14 fractions
      Many students are working their way through the multiplication facts.  Some students are at a stand still.  Multiplication is a skill that must be mastered in the 3rd grade or your student will have difficulties in the years to come.  We will finish a couple more chapters in math then we will be going back to multiplication so please encourage your child to memorize their math facts.  Timed tests are give Tuesday-Thursday each week.
