I hope everyone enjoyed their week off.
We are well on our way through the 3rd quarter. Please continue to remind your child about their classroom and playground conduct. Your child has checked out a library book about a biography. We will be doing a biography book project with the book your child has chosen. We will complete some of the assignment in class along with a cereal box project of the book which will be completed at home. More details to come. We have finished our cursive writing book and I would like to start cursive writing on most assignments in the next couple weeks. Encourage your child to write in cursive on their homework however spelling should never be completed in cursive. Math- Your child has been taking the timed tests for a couple of months. Many of the students have passed the 2's and working their way through. Some have not and I can't stress enough how important it is that your child know their times tables through the 9's. We will continue to move through multiplication and soon long division. If they do not know them they will continue to struggle. Please help by studying at home with flash cards. We will continue to take the timed tests at least 3 times a week. I have charted the students who have passed and will share at conferences. Thank you for your help.
