Progress Reports went home Friday.  Remember these are not the final Report Card.  The comments made on your child's progress report are to help you and your child to better understand what they can do to improve.  It is only the first quarter so we are all learning and will improve as time goes on.  The 3rd grade is a transition year for many and it takes a while to settle in.  The students are doing a great job taking on all the work that is given to them.  As we have been settling into class the students are getting comfortable.  Please remind them to do their talking outside of class on the playground or during designated times. Progress reports are due  Wednesday, September 18th.  Thank you

Your child should be going onto the reading website Think Central each week.  I would like them to be reading the story 2-3 times a week.  Friday we have the comprehension test.

Students have been able to log onto IXL in the class.  I would encourage your child to go onto the math and use the regrouping skills to help study with for the test on Thursday.

I would like to say thank you to all of the  students. The did a wonderful job at Mass on Friday for the Virgin Mary's  Birthday.  

I have sent home the log in information for the reading program along with IXL.  Your child should be using the reading program at least 2-3 days a week.  The IXL will be used in class and at home for free time if you would like.
