Your child will wear this on Wednesday Night over a shirt of their choice. If your child is a Pilgrim they may wear a white shirt and jeans. The white shirt can be untucked with a belt worn over. YOU MAY SEND YOUR CHILD IN COSTUME ON WEDNESDAY BUT THEY WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR UNIFORM TO CHANGE INTO AFTER. THANK YOU We will also be having a class mass on Thursday at 8:15 am in our Chapel. Wishing everyone a very Blessed Thanksgiving. This week will be a short week. We will have no school Friday in honor of our Veteran's. With that said we do have a very busy week ahead of us including next week.
Tomorrow we will be leaving for Cherish at 10:40 am. If you had signed up to drive I sent home a note Friday that was attached in your child's planner. Please arrive around 10:30 am so we are able to get packed and ready to go. Thursday we will be honoring our Veteran's during an all school program beginning at 8:30 am. All are encouraged to invite family members who are or have served in our military. It a very special event that shows how much we appreciate the military who help to make our country safe. Next, Wednesday, November 16th our class will be in the Thanksgiving Program. Our class will be doing a readers theater called "Squanto's Squash." We went over the program and I have chosen a few students who will have reading parts. All of the students will have a part in the program from being an American Indian to being one of the Pilgrims. The students that have reading parts will receive their script tomorrow. They will be able to use the script during the program. I will be working on some costumes as soon as we know who has the parts. Do not feel obligated to buy a costume for your child. I will be asking for maybe a white t-shirt for those students who are American Indians and figure out something for the pilgrims and other characters. Again your child will find out tomorrow which part was selected for them. It is a great time to share all of the classes times, talents and treasures. Our class will also be having a class mass on November 17th. I will be sending home readings with some students who wanted to read. As a reminder our class will also be participating in the Christmas Program. Our children will be expected to sing during the performance. It is a wonderful performance and a lot of fun to see all of the hard work and effort that the students put into the program. Homework help will be available Monday -Wednesday from 2:30-3:15. This would be a time your child may stay in class to complete homework assignments. Please understand this time is a quiet time designated for those students who struggle and need a quiet place to do their homework. Please let me know if you are interested in your child staying in advance so I can make arrangements.
