March 23-27

Dear Parents and Students,

     I hope that everyone was able to enjoy a little sunshine this weekend.  We are well on our way into online schooling.  I am so proud of all of you for taking on this opportunity and challenging ourselves each and everyday.  I know that this has been difficult but we made it though the first week!! I am so proud of everyone.  This week we will continue with google classroom and some work that will also be written at home.  Continue to keep the written assignments in your homework folder.  Continue to practice writing in cursive and practicing your math facts.  
     
     This week a lot of the assignments will be turned into google classroom.  I would suggest that you print out the blog and check everyday for new assignments.  Also writing the assignments in your child's planner is an easy way for them to plan out their day.  I always had a schedule in the classroom and this seems to help :)
     
     I have also signed up our class for a program called Freckle.  Use the link and class code below. This is a way I can assign some math and check your child's progress.

 Also I will be getting on Zoom Monday-Thursday.  Each day I will post the information for the zoom meeting.  You should be able to enter the meeting with the code or url address.  We will work out any problems along the way.

--Join me at 1:00 for ZOOM.  We will be completing math book page 215-217.  This is a new lesson and chapter.  We will be going through lesson 1.  If your child is not able to join us they do not have to write down all of the problems.  You may photocopy pages and fill in the blanks or just check for understanding.  If you would like you may also use a spiral notebook for Math and in the future.

HAVE A GOOD WEEK.  WE WILL BE USING NEW TECHNOLOGY SO PLEASE BE PATIENT.  I WILL BE CHECKING MY EMAIL REGULARLY.  PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS NEW TO MOST OF US AND PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.  REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR CHILD'S SCHEDULE AS REGULAR AS POSSIBLE.  IN MY EXPERIENCE IN THE CLASSROOM, STRUCTURE AND SCHEDULES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
