        8th grade saints statue museum:  8th graders pose as the saint they have studied---                           everyone welcome to enjoy
*Diorama due:  10/30
*Explorer Day:  10/30   students must dress up as an explorer---easy way to do this---wear tube or soccer socks on the outside of pants --  wear a man's long sleever white dress shirt---wear a belt on the outside of shirt---instant explorer
        presentation will be 10/30
*Halloween costume contest:  10/31
*Spelling test will be Thursday this week due to Halloween night
*I am re-teaching nouns---the test was not the best outcome---so I will reteach and retest
*I will be sending home reading handouts on Mondays---your child is to read it aloud to you--
         and then answer questions--there are tips to the parent on how to help your child better              understand what will be read.  Your child has a week to finish this with you---it is due back             by Friday.  You are to have signed it---Thank you
