5th grade has completed the L.I.F.E. program---safe environment.  They are bringing their activity book home---along with a parent packet.  Please complete your portion of the program with your child. Send back the last page filled out.  Thank you.

All students are writing a persuasive paper---I have taught them to make lists of their arguments; lists of their counter-arguments; and the format.  They then start writing their paper.  This will be due 12/1.  They possibly will be working on this at home. They should be researching their topic on the computer to find really strong arguments to include in their paper. Those interested may try out for the speech aspect of this persuasive paper.  This speech will be given in the classroon the week of 12/11.  The top three will then go on to the county competition in January.  Please help your child with their speech if they are interested in trying out for it.  Thank you.

We are in the Christmas program----which means an even more flexible schedule than usual as we practice for the program.  The actual program is at St. Pat's church on 12/20.  Please check planners for what we have gotten done for the day.
