week 1/9

I'm sorry about no blog for week 1/2.  Time got away from me.  Math has been spiral handouts for review of what was learned before Christmas.  Soc. Studies started a new unit---we are starting to learn the events leading up to the American Revolution.  Reading continues with stories from the book and skills handouts.  English begins a poetry unit.  Science begins a weather unit---I have ordered a weather station so the students will be able to check the temperature, wind direction, speed, rain, etc.
It is supposed to arrive Friday-so that will start next week.  I would like them to watch the weather report each evening to really see how our weather pattern moves eastward and affects the entire U.S.

I have given out a new book report form.  I have gone over it with them---and handed out the directions.  Please look at it.  They are using a shoebox to make a 3-D Diorama to make the setting from the story.  Due Date:  February 1st
