8th Grade: A big THANK YOU to all of you who joined in and watched the Christmas Parade on Saturday and the Couthouse Choir Music on Sunday - it brings joy to others in our community! Let us continue to embrace this season of Advent by  praising God for all the good things in our lives and remember the each day as I go into the world I am an
ambassador for Jesus Christ.  I am taking an active part in bringing His love, forgiveness, and mercy to everyone I meet.  I will praise God for what He has done, is doing, and what He is about to do, through me!  I will remember the good I did yesterday.  I will praise God for doing it with me, in me, and through me. I will think about the good I did today, and praise God for it.  I will look throughout each day to see what I can praise God for.

Calendar:
Thursday, December 8: 8:15 Feast of the Immaculate Conception Mass
Friday, December 9: 2:45-5pm Junior high Dance
Sunday, December 11: 7:00am OLM Mass at St. Patrick's Church

? of the Day: 12/5: Please review this and focus on the meaning of what it says.
You will be expected to know these facts about Advent.
                            "
Advent is a time of _penitence__ and __preparation___.  The focus on
Mary shows us how to _
receive___ Christ into our hearts and _trust__ Him
completely.  The Advent wreath originated in _
Germany__ in the

Middle Ages.  The ring shape symbolizes God's _eternal_  nature.  Its green

color is a sign of __hope_ and __everlasting_ life.  Each of the _4_ candles on
the wreath represent the Sundays of Advent.  The
pink candle represents
                              the
3rd Sunday, called _Gaudete_ Sunday. It represents our _hope_ and _joy_
for the coming of the __
Messiah__.  The 3 __violet__ candles signify __penance__.
Unlike Lent, they represent a sorrowful  longing for _
Christ’s presence.
Advent is a time for each of us to __
reflect__ on our relationship with_God_.
[Don't forget to complete any " ? of the Day" you have missed!]
