8th Graders - What a lovely experience you gave everyone on Friday as you signed the "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman!" And a huge THANK YOU to those of you that stayed to the end to help set-up, serve, and clean-up! That is Citizenship at work - you sacrificed for the community!

Religion:
5/8: May D Street $ due - a few of you are missing this month; Sunday May 12 Bible Search and Summaries due Monday.

US History:
5/8: Read Text p. 280-287 then create a list of what makes a good citizen both personally and in regard to civic duty. Be sure to continue doing family research for your family tree. You need a personal ancestor immigrant story, typed, by next Wednesday the 15th. Continue to research family history to great, great, great grandparents if possible.

Physical Science:
5/8: Some of these are missing: please Complete 3 worksheets from class - update your Cornell Notes with red pen if you are missing facts; check optionC as some of you are missing Ch13 S1 Cornell Notes; prepare study sheet for Tues. and Wed. Lab Practicals if you didn't last night: identifying atoms - it might help to Diagram the 4 types of atoms : neutral, ions, isotopes, and ionic isotopes for the elements Lithium through Oxygen. *NOTE* Carbon will have 2 ions and 2 ionic isotopes.

Algebra:
5/8: p.160 Mixed Review 1-9 all
7th Homework:
7 Life Science:
5/6: Complete classwork of Ch 7 S1&2 Cornell Notes
7 World History:
5/7: Study all the countries of Africa - test next Friday!

8th Grade Vallejo Trip Friday May 10
Students and parent chaperones please arrive by 7:15 at OLM school parking lot. Bring money for lunch at the park and dinner - we provide morning snack on the bus. Wear appropriate free dress and sunscreen and bring anything to make your trip comfortable especially if you plan to do water rides. The park will check anything you want to bring in and they usually do not allow food from the outside. I believe water bottles are OK. Students need to be with chaperones at all times for safety. It's a great adventure and we'll have a wonderful time! We usually leave the park around 5:00 and should be back at OLM between 8:30-9:00.
