8th Graders - IT'S RED RIBBON WEEK!! Best way to avoid abuse of substances - disconnect from that which removes you from people and TALK, LISTEN, CARE, FACE TO FACE! Take time for each other!  We are Jesus' eyes and ears, hands and feet on this earth - would He take time for others, then we need to also.

Calendar: Parent/Teacher Conference Week and Book Fair ; 12:30 Dismissal all week
Monday, October 22:  
Free Red Dress: "red-y to live a drug free life"
Tuesday, October 23:  "sock it to drugs" : mismatched socks and shoes with uniform
Wednesday, October 24: " say peace out to drugs" : Tie-dye Free Dress
Thursday, October 25: "wild about being drug free": crazy hair day
Friday, October 26: "together we can beat drugs": Faith Family Activity; 6-8 Junior High Halloween Dance 
Saturday, October 27: Halloween Carnival 5-8pm

8th Homework :
? of the Day:
10/24: We only made 91% today - we ALL have hair - let us be a TEAM and support one another like Officer Jasso said - 100% crazy hair tomorrow - we'd rather fake being crazy than use drugs and really make our minds crazy!

10/23: Free tie-dye dress tomorrow - will 8th grade have 100% participation? Show me!
10/22:  A big THANK YOU to all who helped put up ribbons and cups for Red Ribbon Week and to all of you who wore red today - do you have your shoes and socks for tomorrow?  Our week will be as good as we get involve in it - let's go for 100% participation!!

​Religion:  Work on Saint costumes and plaques due next Monday, 10/29
10/24: Review the 20 mysteries of the Rosary - test next week, end of October, Mary's month. Research a substance that you do not know a lot about that can "make you NOT you" to share with the class on Thursday.  Write it in google docs.
