8th Grade:
October is a month we dedicate to Mother Mary and to honor her we pray the Rosary. As we walk through this month let us look to her as a role model for our lives and the ways we can be the face of God to others. October Calendar: Pink Theme to Fight Cancer Friday, October 6: 8th brings St. Vincent Lunches, 11:00 Blessing of the Animals Mass - parents bring animals; 12:30 Dismissal Grade 8 Homework Religion: 10/4: ON ROSARY BINDER PAPER from class explain the last 3 Joyful Mysteries; Complete the way you fulfill the 3rd SLE Rubric. 10/2: Write the 20 Mysteries of the Rosary (Jesus' biography) in your Faith Journal; Write a response NOT IN FAITH JOURNAL - ON BINDER PAPER to: SLE Rubric for Active Faith -filled people who know the basic teachings of the Catholic Church, live the gospel message through service , and celebrate the liturgical seasons and Catholic traditions telling how you personally achieve these 3 areas. Due Wed. your evaluation of your behavior on the Christian conduct rubric. 9/29: ON MONDAY bring in all 5 sources for saint research. Be sure to have read and highlight all that are on paper whether from the internet or book.
