Please note the new email addresses for all teachers. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected] Camp forms: Most forms have been turned in, but we are still missing a few. Additional forms were sent home with these students. Please return them ASAP, as we leave for camp on October 10.. Your help is needed! First, we need parent volunteers to help with 6th grade lunch days. This is a part of junior high. Each junior high class is responsible for shopping, cooking, serving, cleaning up for lunch about once a month. The corresponding class earns the profits from those lunches. Any money that our class raises will be saved in an account and will go with them to 7th grade. In seventh grade, they will need this money to host the graduation dance and to enjoy a nice field trip. It is necessary to start saving now! In order to make this happen, we need everyone's help! We have a large class, so if everyone could sign up to help with lunch one time, we would be covered. This involves being at the school from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on an assigned lunch day. Our scheduled days are as follows: October 26th November 16th January 18th March 1st (no meat, Ash Wednesday) April 26th May 17th I'm hoping that by letting you know ahead of time, everyone will be able to arrange to help at one lunch. You can also earn service hours for this. Please email to let me know if there is a date you can help! Thank you! _______________________________________ Donations needed: We are in need of 3 plastic laundry baskets. One is needed to store our playground equipment. The other 2 will be used to carry up cans/bags at Mass. At the blessing of the animals, we will be collecting dog food for the shelter. This will be carried up during the offertory. Please let me know if you are able to donate a laundry basket. Thanks again! ______________________________________________________ Blessing of the Animals: The Mass and blessing are scheduled for October 7 at 11:00. Animals may be brought at this time and will sit in an assigned section with their adults until Mass is over. At that time, students will be able to get their pets for a blessing. I will be bringing my new puppy, Mamie! _______________________________________ 6th grade Religion Monday-practice for Mass Tuesday-handwriting book--2 pages text: p. 61 Wednesday-handwriting -2 pages practice for Mass Thursday-Bible search Friday-Bible Trivia _______________________________________________ 6th Grade English Monday- review hand motions vocab. choosinTg the right word unit 4 Ruzzle tournament Tuesday-grammar: 86-86 Ruzzle Wednesday-spelling baseball Ruzzle Thursday-spelling/vocab. tests unit 4 grammar Friday-Ruzzle Time for Kids Reading 6th grade Monday-silent reading, finish Time for Kids, worksheet Tuesday-Essay book test Wednesday-silent reading, library, Time for Kids Thursday-silent reading, Kinder reading buddies Friday-Mass/Blessing of the Animals ___________________________________ 8th Grade English Monday-Work on notecards for saint reports...please bring all sources and notecards to class! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected] Thank you so much for all the kind words and prayers with the loss of my beloved cocker spaniel, Phoebe. I had her for 12 1/2 years and miss her tremendously. Thank you to my students for the thoughtful cards. Once again, it is so nice to work at a Catholic school where we can openly pray for one another. On a brighter note, I will be getting a new puppy Sept. 30. She will also be a cocker spaniel named Mamie. I'm excited for my school family to meet her at the blessing of the animals. Homework help: There will be NO HOMEWORK help Thursday, September 29. The assistant superintendent is visiting our school and will be meeting with the teachers at 2:30.
