_____________________________________________ If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at s[email protected] _____________________________________________________________________ Thank you so much to all you supported the book drive for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital-Stanford. I don't have the final total of books yet, but I will update next week. Not only did you help the hospital, but you're purchases also helped to fund the purchase of new books for the OLM library as well. Everyone will need to purchase his/her own copy and bring them to class on November 5. This can be purchased at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. You may use a used copy as long as it is not already annotated. You will not be allowed to use a copy from a sibling who already annotated the book. If purchasing the book presents a financial hardship, please let Mrs. Lorenzi know, so that arrangements can be made to ensure that you have a book.

October 22-26 Red Ribbon Week, conferences, and book fair!
Week of October 15-19 _____________________________________________ If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at s[email protected] __________________________________________ Homework help: There will be no homework help this week due to parent/teacher conferences. __________________________________________________________________ Red Ribbon Week Activities: Monday: red free dress Tuesday: crazy socks with your uniform Wednesday: tie-dye free dress Thursday: crazy hair Friday: faith family activity _____________________________________________________________________ Oct. 22-26 is the book fair. My son, Lucca Lorenzi, is having a book drive to benefit Lucile Packard Children's Hospital-Stanford, as part of his Pack It Up For Packard Service Project. The story corner at the new hospital needs new books. Also, the hospital would like to send each patient home with a new book. Buy a book at the book fair and donate it. Not only does the hospital benefit, but so does OLM's library. All proceeds from the book fair go towards buying new books for the OLM library. There will be a wish list for the hospital at the book fair, or you can simply buy a book for your age group that you think a patient might enjoy. Wish list books will stock the hospital's story corner, and other books purchased will be given to patients to take home. Thank you for helping to pay it forward! ___________________________________________ 6th grade Religion Monday- practice fall program Tuesday-Bible search Wednesday-no religion class due to minimum day schedule Thursday-textbook-read and discuss Friday-song practice ________________________ 6th Grade English Monday-type business letters--we did not get to this last week Halloween stories-rough drafts due Tuesday-no English class due to minimum day schedule Wednesday-book test Thursday-type Halloween stories Friday-practice fall program Time for Kids ___________________________ Reading 6th grade Monday-book fair-bring money if you wish Class novel Tuesday-no class due to minimum day schedule Wednesday-work on fall program Thursday-silent reading read to kinders Class novel Friday- no class due to minimum day schedule ________________________________________ 8th Grade English Monday-no class due to minimum day schedule Tuesday-book fair--bring money if you wish Wednesday-Rosetta Stone vocab. chart unit 7 Thursday-cts unit 7 Rosetta Stone Friday-no class today due to minimum day schedule ___________________________________ 8th Grade Reading Monday-no class due to minimum day schedule Tuesday-silent reading begin Anne Frank Wednesday-silent reading Anne Frank Thursday-no class due to minimum day schedule Friday-silent reading Anne Frank _________________________ Our next class novel, after Anne Frank, will be To Kill a Mockingbird.
