If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected] _________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ Homework help: I will not be having homework help on Thursday, January 19. I have an appointment. Thank you for your understanding. _______________________________________________________________________ Driving for field trips: Please remember that if you are driving for field trips, the security gate is locked during school hours; therefore, you will need to load and unload students on the 27th street side of the school. I know it may be a bit inconvenient, but we must always remember that safety is the top priority. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ International night: This will be February 8, and our class will be presenting Italy. Please let me know if you have any items from Italy that we could have on display at our booth. Also, we are looking for volunteers to prepare foods from Italy to hand out at our booth. You can earn volunteer hours for cooking. Also, we will be needing parents to work at the booth (again---volunteer hours). So far we have volunteers to cook lasagna and raviolis. We still need more food, as well as volunteers to work at the booth handing out samples on that evening. Thank you to the following parents/grandparents for volunteering to cook/bake: Mrs. Bianchi-raviolis Mrs. Olivares-lasagna Mrs. Hunter-ricotta cookies We could still use another dish to hand out for samples...If you are interested, please let Mrs. Lorenzi know. We also need volunteers to work at the booth! __________________________________ Our school's biggest fundraiser, the auction, is fast approaching. The 6th grade has an amazing photo on wood created at woodsnap. If you would like to see it, please stop by the office. I'm sure you will love it and want to bid on it on auction night! Also, please send in $6 to help cover the cost of our class's item. Please put the $6 in an envelope and mark it auction donation, Katie Bernard. Thank you, Mrs. Bernard, for organizing and creating such a special auction item! ______________________________ 6th grade Religion: Monday: no school Tuesday: family life Wednesday: Bible search Thursday: kind words activity in the chapel Friday: song practice ____________________________________-__ 6th grade English Monday: no school Tuesday: practice speeches flashcards unit 9 Wednesday: speeches talk about research papers read Flying Solo speeches Thursday: completing the sentence unit 9 speeches grammar: p. 150-151 Friday: speeches sign up for report topics vocab. bingo ________________________________ 6th grade Reading Monday: no school Tuesday: silent reading Time for Kids: Shop smart Flying Solo Wednesday: library silent reading Flying Solo if time Thursday: silent reading read to kinders Friday: silent reading Time for Kids: coolest inventions __________________ 8th grade English Monday- no school Tuesday: library speeches flashcards unit 10 Wednesday: Catholic Schools Week thank you cards for businesses Thursday: completing the sentence unit 10 speeches Friday: writing: 8th grade songs _______________________ 8th grade reading Monday: no school Tuesday: silent read chapter 12 TKAM Wednesday: silent read chapter 13 TKAM Thursday: silent reading chapter 14 TKAM Friday: silent reading chapter 15 TKAM
