If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at s[email protected] _____________________________________________________________________ We will be performing in the fall program on Wednesday, November 14. Our class's performance will have a patriotic theme. I am asking each child to wear blue jeans with the designated color t-shirt. Please ask your child which color shirt they need: red, white, or blue. Michaels has the plain t-shirts on sale often for $2-$3. They sell shirts in both child and adult sizes. Please make sure your child has this shirt by Tuesday, November 13. We will have a school performance on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 14, so they will need their shirt on that day. Thank you for your help. _________________________________________________________________________________ 6th grade Religion Monday- no class due to schedule for electives Tuesday-practice prayer service for 11/14 Catholic Jeopardy round 1 Wednesday-Catholic Jeopardy round 2 Thursday-Veterans assembly Friday-no school ________________________ 6th Grade English Monday-cts unit 6 Act out vocab. words Rosetta Stone Tuesday-syn/ant unit 6 English p. 22-23 review vocab. words Wednesday-ctrw unit 6 vocabulary workshop unit 6 online Thursday-spelling/vocab. tests unit 6 practice for fall program Friday-no school ___________________________ Reading 6th grade The next 6th grade book test will be on December 4 Monday-silent reading Time for Kids Tuesday-silent reading Flying Solo chapter Time for Kids Wednesday-visit saint wax museum of 8th graders silent reading Thursday-silent reading read to kinders Flying Solo chapter Friday- no school ________________________________________ 8th Grade English Monday-vocab. chart unit 8 Rosetta Stone Tuesday- library handwriting cts unit 8 Wednesday-English Jeopardy Thursday-no class due to minimum day schedule Friday-no school ___________________________________ 8th Grade Reading Monday-silent reading Anne Frank Tuesday-silent reading read "Terrible Things"-an allegory of the Holocaust Wednesday-silent reading Group discussion and questions about "Terrible Things" Thursday-no class due to minimum day schedule Friday-no school _________________________ Our next class novel, after Anne Frank, will be To Kill a Mockingbird. Everyone will need to purchase his/her own copy and bring them to class on November 5. This can be purchased at Barnes and Noble or Amazon. You may use a used copy as long as it is not already annotated. You will not be allowed to use a copy from a sibling who already annotated the book. If purchasing the book presents a financial hardship, please let Mrs. Lorenzi know, so that arrangements can be made to ensure that you have a book.
