Hello First Grade Parents!!
Reading-Words that end in 'ed' that have a 't' sound and a 'd' sound. For example--cracked(t) and spilled(d). 'Ed' ending means that something already happened---past tense verb. Our stories are "Flubble Bubble Gum" and "In a Pickle". We will start comprehending the main topic of a text. Spelling--yelled, smelled, jumped, bumped, look, your, the, was, are, for Math--Chapter 6-Ordinal Numbers and adding +8. Religion-Times to praise God and others Science-All about Animals-Mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects Social Studies-Celebrate America---Week 7 Art---Witch Art P.E.---Catching with scarves A note went home today from Mrs. Yorba. We have many activities going on that we need help with. We will have sign-ups up for working our Halloween carnival booths, snacks for our Hunter Farms Field Trip, and snacks for our class Halloween party. Please sign-up if you are available.
