Hi everyone,
We made it through the first week of school!! I had the best week with my new students and looking forward to an amazing year in 4th grade! We spent last week getting to know each other, learning our class schedule/routines, rules, expectations, and implementing our group point system for classroom behavior. The students were divided into groups of 5, and can earn points for positive behavior either as a group or individually. Points will also be deducted for negative behavior. This helps students to stay accountable for their own actions, and realize that their behavior directly affects their group and privileges as well. The group with the most points on Friday will be able to pick 2 prizes from our class prize box. Our class goal is to reach 300 points in 1 week. They will then be rewarded with a surprise activity the following week. All of their homework assignments can be found in their homework folders and listed in their planners each day. Please make sure their homework is completed, and please sign their planners everyday. Students will be receiving group points for having all of their planners signed. I will also give a quick note, should anything come up that particular day. *Reminder* 4th grade students are now eligible to join student council. Student council meets every Tuesday @ 7:15am. ****This week**** Monday- Library and Computers start this week Tuesday- Student Council meets @ 7:15am Friday- 12:30pm Dismissal Sunday- School Mass @ 9am St Patrick's Church.
