February 10th - 14th

This will be a busy week since its our week before winter break. Make sure students are focused and studying for their tests. Please sign/return all progress reports. We will have a Valentine's Day party on Friday.  If students are bringing Valentine's, please make sure they bring them for the ENTIRE class.
**Uniform Warning**
Boys- Please make sure all boys are wearing belts with their uniforms. This is the standard for 4th grade per handbook.
Girls- No leggings!!  Only tights may be worn with jumper.  OLM sweatshirts and jackets embroidered with our emblem are the only ones allowed in class.
Detentions will be given after the 3rd warning.
**Cash for Class**
Reminder to turn in your receipts from Target, Merced Mall, and all participating stores in the shopping area.  A percentage from each receipt will be donated to the school, so we really appreciate everyone's participation.

Math- Wrap up Chapter 4 "Tables and Line Graphs."  Chapter Review.  Make sure they are studying for their test on Friday.  
Language Arts- Chapters 10 and 11 "The Indian in the Cupboard." Vocab and Comprehension Tests. Spelling Unit 17. Cinquain Poetry Writing lesson. Diamante Poetry lesson. Persuasive writing and writing a Tall Tale.  
Social Studies- Week 23 "Life in Mining Camps and Towns." Crossword puzzle and Think and Review.  
Science- Go over/discuss review questions.  WB 65 on Lesson 2 "How Do People Change Ecosystems."  Start Lesson 3 "How Can People Treat Ecosystems More Wisely."
