Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!  Remember to wear your green today!!  Parents, if you are able, please watch the youtube video I have posted for Tuesday with your child.  Read the story of Saint Patrick and his poem "The Breastplate," about faith and trust in God, together as a family.  Say a prayer to Saint Patrick today and reflect on his love, faith, and total devotion to God.  Celebrate Saint Patrick's feast day and ask him to guide you and strengthen your faith during this difficult time.

I hope you all had a chance to check in with me yesterday.  If you did not email me, please send me an email to check in for today, and yesterday if you did not do so already.  I will be checking their attendance using IXL also, so please make sure they are logging in and working.

Just a quick note on IXL.  Yesterday, I checked all throughout the day and there were still some students who did not log in to IXL. I've checked this morning as well.  Everyone has their login info, so if you are having any trouble logging in, please let me know!  It's very important students log in and work on the skills listed. I'm able to see student's progress, which questions and how many questions they have answered, and how much time was spent on each skill.  They need to be spending at least 40 mins a day on IXL.

Please remember IXL is adaptive, and will adjust to your child's demonstrated understanding of the material.  They are trying to reach a "smart score of 100."  If they are missing questions, they are showing they need further explanations and practice in order to master that skill.  If they are working consistently for over an hour and have not mastered the skill, they can take a break and try again a little later, or try again the following day.  But they need to be on for 40-50 mins everyday!

Tuesday is updated under Monday in the post March 16th - 20th.

Please keep emailing me any questions you have!  I'm here to help answer any questions/concerns you may have!!  Have a blessed day and enjoy Saint Patrick's Day!
