MONDAY 3/23
Please answer the question of the day in Reading class. That is how I will be taking attendance. Religion- Lenten writing reflection, "How can I follow Jesus?" Math- IXL for 20 mins only! Please work on the skills listed below. If you finish before the 20 mins is up, move onto another skill you need to master from last week. A. Number Sense #5 D. Multiplication #30 Language Arts- Write sentences using our Spelling words (English class) Silent read a book of your choice for 20 mins! Then read the next 3 paragraphs out loud. Social Studies- Week 28 "The Stagecoach, Pony Express, and Telegraph. Read "Hoof Beats and Telegraph Clicks," and "Traveling by Stagecoach." Underline the important details in each paragraph, and circle all important names. Science- Lesson 2 "What causes Mountains, Volcanoes, and Earthquakes?" Read B14-B15. Look at the diagram of the Earth and answer the following questions on a separate sheet of paper. 1. What is the outer layer of Earth? What is it made of? 2. What is found beneath Earth's crust? What is it made of? 3. What is found in the center of Earth? What is it made of? Please do NOT type this out!!! I want you to write in CURSIVE!!! Your brain will understand and process the information much better overall when you handwrite the information rather than type. Writing in cursive improves your brain development so yay!! Please place this in your homework folder. You will turn it in at the end of the week. ***Please make sure you have completed and turned in ALL the assignments from last week. If you have to finish any, please do it today and turn it in before tomorrow. TUESDAY 3/24 Please make sure to answer the Question of the Day in Reading class. I will mark you ABSENT if I do not see a response from you. Religion- I ask you all to please pray the rosary today and ask our blessed Mother Mary to please protect us, heal all who are sick, give us strength, and end this pandemic. Today we reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries listed below. Please click on each mystery and read the reflection before you start each decade.
There is a video and instructions to read as well. Or you can go on youtube and search "pray the rosary" as well. We have all prayed the rosary together so everyone will be able to do this. Math- Please practice the skills I have listed below for 20 mins. D. Multiplication #10 E. Division #10 In addition to IXL, please make sure you are reviewing your multiplication flash cards. You have to memorize your math facts. Please practice every day! Language Arts- Please join the Zoom meeting today at 11am using the link below: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/776466890 We will be reading together the final chapter of "The Indian in the Cupboard" Chapter 16 " Brothers." Please make sure you join the meeting on time. I will also be putting the link in our stream for Reading class. After the meeting, please answer the questions below in complete sentences in Google classroom under Reading class. 1. What ceremony did Little Bear and Boone perform? 2. What did Omri and Patrick do with the men and the woman? 3. What did Omri do with the special key? Grammar- Assignment is listed in English class Social Studies- Read the inside of the newspaper for week 28. Read sections "Connecting CA, Pony Express, Overland Mail Routes, What is a Mochila? and The Telegraph." Make sure you a underlining the important facts and circling all important names. Please complete the crossword puzzle. Go into google classroom and fill in your answers on the document I have created please. Science- Read pages B16-B17. Carefully read "The Inside Story" and make sure to look at the diagram. Please look at all pictures and please read each caption. Make sure you are able to do a self check and answer the bold faced questions with a check mark next to them. WEDNESDAY 3/25 For Attendance, please complete the Multiplication Quiz in Math class in Google Classroom. Religion- Today is the Feast of the Annunciation. Please read the PDF document and complete the assignment in Google classroom. Math- I would like you all to start the Diagnostics so we can see where you are, and where you need to improve. Click Math and then click on Diagnostics. Then click on "Step Into the Arena." Work for 20 mins. Make sure you save before you sign out so you can pick up where you left off tomorrow. You will be graded on how many you answer correctly. Grammar- Pg 92 #14-25. Fill out your answers in the doc on Google Classroom in English class. English- "The Indian in the Cupboard" Vocabulary #4 assignment in Google classroom under English class. Will be due Friday. Social Studies- Think & Review questions in Google Classroom. Science- Read page B18-B19 #1-5. You can continue writing on the same paper from Monday, just make sure to mark in the right hand corner Pg B19 #1-5, or start a new paper. You will turn in (scan and upload) all the documents you have written this week on FRIDAY. THURSDAY 3/26 For attendance today, please answer the question in Reading class in Google Classroom. For our Lenten reflection today, please take turns telling your favorite stories about Jesus with your family during dinner tonight. Math- IXL, please continue the Diagnostics from yesterday. Please work for 20 mins and don't forget to save your work before you end your session. Practice your times tables also. Language Arts- Please join the Zoom Meeting today at 11am. Go back and re read Chapters 13-16 and study the important events and details for a reading quiz on Chapters 13-16. Vocab #4- Turn in by tomorrow morning if you have not finished. If you have already turned it in, I have graded and returned it. Use the corrections to create notecards so you can study. There will be a Vocab test next week. Grammar- Complete assignment created in English class in Google classroom. Social Studies- Turn in any assignments that you have not finished. Science- Use pages B14-B19 to answer WB 83 in Google classroom. FRIDAY March 27th Question of the day is Reading class. Please answer for attendance today. Religion- Today would have been our interpretation of the Stations of the Cross :(. We can still reflect and watch the Stations of the cross on the youtube link below. I ask that you please watch the whole video and read/listen to all the words. Make sure to start it from the beginning!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoIUsTetlL0 Math- Diagnostics on IXL. Please make sure you complete the diagnostics today. It will allow everyone to see their skill level, and help us to see where everyone needs to improve. Please work for 20 mins. If you finish early, go back and work on any of the previous skills I have highlighted this week and last week as well. Language Arts- Please continue to review Chapters 13-16 "The Indian in the Cupboard." Quiz will be next week. Study your Vocab #4 list. Test will be next week as well. Grammar- Assignment in google classroom under English class, Plural Possessive Nouns Also, practice your cursive!! Please write each Spelling word 3 times each. You do not have to turn this in!! This is for your own benefit. Everyone's cursive has improved, I don't want you to lose it!! Writing- Write an alternate ending to the story "The Indian in the Cupboard." Doc in google classroom under Writing class. Social Studies- Finish up any assignments from the last 2 weeks if you have not turned them in. Science- Catch up on any assignments you have not turned in. Study your Vocab words. Please spend Friday completing these assignments and finishing up anything you missed this week.
