Monday will be our last day of August and we are moving on to September! September is a packed month of learning all about families, our families and God's family. We will be working on our Social and Emotional, learning our pre-writing skills with our names, as well as working on safety rules with scissors and how to take care of our glue. Seesaw is in full swing, I hope everyone is able to utilize this site to keep in contact with what is going on in the classroom and seeing how much each child is learning and playing. I will be introducing work soon on this site and you will be able to see what they are working on as well. Thank you to all the families for turning in the ASQ and ASQ-SE, all the extra feed back is extremely helpful! If you haven't had a chance to turn yours in, they are due by next Friday (9/4). Thank you to the families who have also turned in your family project! I am excited as a class to work together on this book. I am asking for all family projects to be turned in by next if possible! Please remember I will be laminating them to keep them safe! If this is something you would not like me to do, just let me know. Social and Emotional: Self-Talk Listening Rules: Eyes are Watching, Ears are Listening, Voices Quiet and Body Calm Shape(s): Circle, Square Letter(s): First letter in each name Handwriting Without Tears: Fireworks Prayer: Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen There are blessings all around us, and I just want my OLM families to know how extremely grateful I am. The children are doing well as a group, individually, being independent, working on their classroom rules, learning, and most importantly having fun! Thank you for the all the signups for snack, birthday celebrations, and cleaning supplies! This classroom is running smoothly for the extra help. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need of anything, questions or wanting to connect. Blessings to all, Mrs. Donavan

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen **Important Dates: 8/26/20: August Birthday Celebrations ASQ and ASQ-SE assessments went out last week. This is a questionnaire to see where each child is at development wise. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions. Once I receive them back I will score and together we will go over the results. I also started to send out our new family activity. This is a fun collaboration all about our families. September will be about our families as well as God's family. This is suppose to be an easy and fun activity to do as a family so please do not feel stressed over it! Seesaw class is up and moving! I am wanting you all to feel more connected inside the classroom and to keep up with what your child is doing.I will be introducing soon, Seesaw class assignments that the children will be working on in the classroom, but you will be able to see what they are doing. Every day the children get a "Helping Hands" job, this includes; Pledge of Allegiance, feeding the fish, weather person, calendar helper, line leader, caboose, librarian (picks a book and helps read it to the class), Prayer helper, ring the bell (with transitions), help spot garbage to be picked up, greeter (welcoming teachers, friends). The children are extremely responsible and understand that this is THEIR classroom and we have to work as a team. Helping hands is a great way to feel responsible, part of a team, sense of accomplishment, independence and lots of vocabulary. Thank you to all my families for everything! This is a group effort and you all are making it seem effortlessly. Thank you for all the sign ups for snack class, birthday sign ups, communication and for the classroom cleaning supplies. I am so grateful for you all! Blessings to you all, Mrs. Donavan We are up for another busy week! We will keep working as a class; classroom rules, Social and Emotional, our first letter in our names, going over how we go to church and the importance of a bible. They are getting our routine down, they are understanding the classroom rules and honestly such a fun group! I am so grateful for this group and for our OLM families! Thank you for the constant classroom supplies and snack sign ups! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. A couple items are coming up: In about two weeks you will receive a packet; Ages and Stages Questionnaires. One questionnaire is for your child’s overall development and the other concentrates on social/emotional development. This is an easy assessment that you do at home with your child. Please bring back both questionnaires after it's been completed and I will score them and send out the results. You all should have received an email for Scholastic Book Club. With every order our classroom also receives a free book, it's a win win situation! If you did not receive this email and would like information please do not hesitate, let myself or Mary know right away. Last but not least; I had mentioned in our very first zoom meeting that I will be setting up our Seesaw virtual classroom. I am extremely excited to bring this back, this is great way to be able to connect your child inside the classroom. I will be able to post photos/videos of each child privately as well as showing what work your child is working on. You should have all received an email this weekend for an invite with all individual codes. Seesaw can be downloaded on any electronic device even on your cell phone. It's such an easy and convenient resource to stay connected. Again, please contact me if you are need of any assistance. Blessing to all, Mrs. Donavan Our first week went with complete success! The children have adapted to the changes in the classroom, schedule and outside rules with extreme ease. We did a lot of singing, dancing, working on names and our first letter in our names, working on our motor skills, and working on our listening rules. This week we will keep going with our boot camp; classroom rules, being responsible, how to keep our "space bubble" safe and our friends "space bubble" safe, and wash wash wash our hands!
