This is our final week of September! We will be working on a new theme All About Community, we will continue with our ABC boot camp (as a class the children are loving!), rhyming, our Social and Emotional; more feelings and this week we will be talking about Saint Francis.

     This week we will be discussing all about Saint Francis, I sent home a new homework assignment to work about our pets. I would love to have these by the end of Friday so I can have them all ready for Mass to be blessed. I wanted to send out a huge thank you for the HUGE support for our dinner drive thru, it was a huge hit and it wouldn't have been without all of your support.      We are over half way through September! It has been a busy month and it's just going to keep being busy! This week we will be heading to visit Mrs. Poole on Monday, we will be working on our 5 senses, continue working on our theme: all about family as well as the Holy family, working on Social and Emotional and this week we will begin ABC boot camp!

     I am very excited to begin our ABC boot camp. For the next 26 days, we will be learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds of those letters. We will be doing 1 letter/sound each day. Research shows that learning a letter a day makes better readers and writers! Each day, we will make a chart with pictures for the letter, practice writing the letter and make an alphabet hat for each letter. Thank you to all of my OLM families for turning in your family paper, the children have really enjoyed looking over each other's families. This week please be on the look out for a new project: all about our pets. Playground has been doing a new update and has made my updates do a halt. Hopefully they are back and up for this Monday.      We are on our second week of September and our class is busy! This week we will keep focusing on our Theme 2: My family, Social and Emotional all about following directions, working on our fine motor journals, as well as scissors skills and learning how we use our glue.
