Catholic week went off smoothly, the children as, I had a great time really focusing on why we chose faith as well as the importance of being grateful to all our family and friends especially at school! A special thank you to our room parent sending out a special treat for our reading buddies on Wednesday, the children really enjoyed their special time with their reading buddies outside, so a huge thank you again! This week is just as busy, we are welcoming February with a busy schedule: Social and Emotional: Managing Anger Clifford: We Love Our Friends Religion: Saint Valentine, Ash Wednesday Prayer: Glory Be Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. **Important Dates: 2/7: Mass at 8:15 in the auditorium 2/14: St. Valentine's Party 2/17-2/21: Preschool thru 8th grade closed 2/25: February Birthday Celebrations/Fat Tuesday 2/26: Ash Wednesday Mass at 8:15 in auditorium 2/28: Preschool See's Candy Fundraiser begins This month we are going to be introducing Show and Tell to room 9! Show and tell has many benefits to children such as; early language experiences that can help build effective communication as well as working on listening skills. This month is all about love so I am asking everyone to let their child pick out something they truly love and would be excited to explain to the class why they picked that one specific item. I will be sending out letters with more information as well as your child's date on Monday 2/3, if there are any questions please let me know. This is a fun and easy activity so no stressing is needed! We will be also sending out this month See's candy fundraiser, this is all beneficial to our preschool and all candy will be in before Easter Vacation. This month we will be introducing Ash Wednesday, it marks the starts of Lenten period that leads up to Easter. As always thank you to all of our OLM families for the constant support! Blessings to you all! Mrs. Donavan
