Dear OLM Pre-K Parents,
Last week our alpha friend was Dudley duck Dd. Thank you to all who attended the Spring Program on Wednesday, I hope you enjoyed the performance from the children. They worked really hard to learn their songs and did an amazing job! This week is Holy week. The preschool, along with the entire school will close promptly at 12:30 on Thursday, April 13th. There will be no afternoon classes. There will be no classes on Friday, we will be on vacation and resume classes on Monday, April 24th. Monday and Tuesday, we will have regular class days and will be review days and finishing up our projects in preparation of Easter. Wednesday, and Thursday, will be Easter activity days. Unfortunately, due to student/staffing ratio, we will not be able to extend an invitation to attend if it is not your child's regular scheduled day. If you have any question, please speak with Mrs. Mary. The children have made Easter treat bags, and if your child would like to bring in a small candy/treat to share, we would appreciate it. Treats can come in as early as Monday and we will start adding them to the bags. If your child's regular scheduled day is on Wednesday, there will be a sign up sheet in the classroom for a few items we would like to have for that day. We will be getting pizza and there will be a donation bag in the classroom if you would like to contribute $2.00. On Wednesday, we will start our morning off with Stations of the Cross in the backyard area. On Friday at Mass, Father Thomas blessed the wooden crosses that our class sanded, nailed and painted. We will carry them during our stations of the cross to remind us how Jesus carried his own cross. If your child's regular scheduled day is on Thursday, we are in need of someone to sign up for snack. It is strawberries and yogurt. We would also like to have someone to sign up for 24 Easter cookies on that day. Thursday is Holy Thursday. We will Start out our day by attending prayer service in the auditorium with the big kids will do live Stations of the Cross. In preparation of Relay for Life, our school has a 'mini' Relay for life. This will be a fun event and the older kids will be teaching about healthy food choices, and sun protection as well as other preventative cancer practices. The entire school will be wearing purple to show our support. The student store has purple hair bows and may have some purple OLM shirts available for sale. Thank you for supporting our cause by sending in monetary donations. Please keep those dimes and pennies coming. Our water bottle is almost half full of dimes. When we get it filled, it will be a $100 donation from our class. The main Relay for Life will take place at El Capitan High School on Saturday, April 29th. Our school will have a very large camp set up as well as kids camp. If you are in need of Summer care, we will be running our summer program. Please let us know if you need a registration form. This program runs from 7am to 5:30 Monday thru Friday. We would like to wish you and your family a Blessed Easter Season. Enjoy your time off with your family. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica
