Dear Pre-k families,
This week our alpha friend is Edna Elephant Ee. We are in week two of our theme 'Growing and Changing.' We will be talking about how animals and insects grow and change. We are on 5-9 of the Stations of the Cross and still learning about Lent in preparation of Easter. We are talking about praying, fasting and giving. We are collecting dimes and pennies for our Relay for Life team. If your child would like to contribute, please have them let me know. We have also been talking about taking care of ourselves by keeping clean, brushing our teeth and eating healthy foods. We are learning about "MYPLATE." MYPLATE is the guidelines set for healthy eating. This has replaced the "food Pyramid." You can check it out at choosemyplate.gov We will celebrate Birthday's on Tuesday, March 28th this month. Thank you to those who volunteered to bring a treat. We will be in the spring program next Wednesday, April 5th. We will be preforming two songs on the stage with Mrs. Mary and Miss C's class. We will need the children to arrive to the classroom at 6:00pm and we will walk to the auditorium when it is our time to preform. The program starts at 6:30pm. Please have your child wear their OLM t-shirt. If you are In need of another, please see Mrs. Mary. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica

Dear Pre-K Families,
I really enjoyed visiting during parent teacher conferences. It's that time of the year to share the growth and get a barometer of where they need to be for next year. If you were not able to sit down with me and would still like to, please let me know and I will be happy to schedule an appointment. We are starting a new theme this week, Growing and Changing. Our alpha friend will be Gertie Gertrude Gg. We will continue to learn about Lent and prepare ourselves for Easter. As we are going through Lent, we have been talking about praying, fasting, and giving. We will be raising money for the Relay For Life Event that will take place on Saturday, April 29th at El Capitan High School. Our Lady of Mercy school has a team and we are raising money. Our class will be collecting dimes to fill a water bottle, pennies for an upcoming penny war class competition and any other donations for the general fund. If your child would like to contribute, they can bring in money to our class fund or you can actually join our school team. Please let me know if you have questions. If you are in need of Kindergarten registration papers for next year, please let us know. Also, we will be running our Summer Program if you are in need of child care this summer. We are open regular hours. It is available for all children registered at OLM that are 6 years old or younger and have not started 1st grade yet. If you have questions, please speak with Mrs. Mary. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica |
