Dear Pre-K Families,
We are in week 2 of our theme Growing up Healthy. This week our focus is on "Taking Care of Myself." Our Big Idea is "I know how to be healthy." The entire school will be closed Thursday, Friday and Monday so the teachers may attend a religious conference. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 26th. We will continue learning about Lent and working on beginning sounds. Please continue to sell See's Candy. Orders must be turned in by March 29th. Preschool and Kindergarten registration is available for returning families. New families will be allowed to register beginning April 1st. If your child is in need of childcare for the summer, please ask for registration for our summer program. It begins June 3rd through July 19th. Jay Sousa will be at our school on April 4th to take spring pictures of your child with real bunnies. Please fill out the photo packet if you are interested. Only children with photo packets will take the pictures. The Book Fair will take place in the school library on March 26th - March 29th. Please see Mrs. Poole's library blog for more information. Dear Pre-K families,
We are in the last week of our theme. This week, we will focus on Art All Around Us. We are exploring art in music, dance, and performances, as well as traditional art such as drawing and painting. Our letter this week is Pp. We will finish up show and tell this week. Thank you to all for participating. We had a lot of really fun things to show. This week we will begin the season of Lent. Lent is the 40 days before Easter. We will attend Mass On Wednesday, March 6th, for Ash Wednesday. If your child attends Wednesdays, please have them wear their OLM t-shirt. Mass starts at 8:15am and is open to the public. During the next 40 days, we will be learning about how Jesus died on the cross. We will also be making our own cross. The children will learn about sanding wood, and hammer a nail to make their cross. During Lent, we will have the priest bless them and the kids will carry them as we pray the Stations of the Cross before we leave for Easter break. Thank you to all who have signed up for parent teacher conferences. They will start on Monday afternoon. If you are in need of a different time, please let me know, Thank you, Mrs. Veronica |
