It's Monday morning and as we all are feeling a little out of sorts, today, I find myself in our classroom without the happy sounds of parents and children arriving to school. Please be assured, we the teachers have just met and are working on ways that we can still provide lessons to our children. Please be patient. My mind has been working overtime on thinking about ways to reach out. This morning, I will be working on making a facebook page. Those that know me know that I do very little social media. This will be a challenge, but I am up for it. This will be a closed page and only be open to members of our class. My hopes are that we will be able to communicate and stay in touch with each other, have a little fun and make the most of what we have been given. As soon as I get that up and running, I will get information out to you. I am also making a group email of our class, so I will also send that out. We quickly put together the packet of things that went home on Friday. If you have not picked it up yet, please come to the preschool today before noon. It was our best attempt to get things out to you in a short notice. I will be giving out instructions over the week. Please have them sit tight on before they start working on it. Most importantly, at this time, I hope your families needs are being met. We are in God's hands, and he will provide and take care of us. If there is anything your family needs, please reach out. May God Bless us all, Mrs. Veronica Dear Pre-K Families,
Unfortunately, at this time, the Book Fair has been cancelled. Stay tuned.... they are trying to get an online event in place. We will keep you informed. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica Dear Pre-K Parents,
We are 'UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!' This week, we begin our new theme, Construction Zone. During this theme, we will be doing show and tell. The show and tell item will be "something I have made." This is a fun time. Please be creative, as this is a fun project your child can do on their own or together with family. Show and tell is a great opportunity for your child to speak in front the class. I will send out a calendar this week with a schedule for each student to bring in their show and tell. They will begin next week, beginning on March 16th. Also, during this theme, for a Lenten activity, we will be making a wooden cross. The children will get to learn about construction safety and will hammer a nail to connect it. We will then paint them and have them blessed at the next school mass. We will continue to learn about Lent and the Stations of the Cross. This week, we will be working on letters Kk and Hh as well as triangles and diamond shapes. In our social emotional curriculum, we will be learning how to invite others to play. If you have not signed up for a parent teacher conference, and you would like to, please see the sheet posted in the classroom. Please know that we are doing our best to wipe things down and keep things clean in the classroom. We are following recommendations and encouraging the children to wash their hands with soap causing friction while they sing the Happy Birthday song or the ABC song. A mother in the medical field suggest to us that the children take off school clothes upon entry of your home and shower to reduce germs from entering your home. Please make arrangements to keep children at home if they are sick or coughing. If you have any questions. please contact me. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica Dear Pre-K Parents, This is our last week of our Animal Theme. We are learning about animal life cycles. We are also working on letters Mm and Ww. In our social emotional curriculum, we are learning about Fair Ways to Play. As Lent continues, we are learning about ways to be closer to Jesus. We have also started to learn how to pray the Stations of the Cross. Wednesday, March 4th, is kindergarten information night. If your child is going to kindergarten next year, please attend. It will be held in the school auditorium at 6:00pm. Make sure you receive a ticket, as they will be raffling off a free registration. Students that attend school on Fridays will attend Mass on March 6th. If you would like to have a parent teacher conference, please sign up in the classroom.
