Dear Pre-K families,
We are in week 3 of our theme growing and changing. This week we are talking about spring. We will be reading Jack and the Beanstalk. We will also be planting our own 'beanstalks' during small groups. We continue to talk about Choose MyPlate and eating healthy from the 5 food categories. You can get more information at choosemyplate.gov. Our Alpha friend is Dudley Duck Dd. Please bring in a baby picture of your child 4 x 6 or smaller for a project. The picture will not be harmed in any way and will be returned to you at the end of our next theme. The Knight of Columbus Dinner Derby is this weekend on Saturday the 28th. If you are available to help, please see Mrs. Mary. We are still in need of raffle items/baskets. There is a sign up sheet in our classroom. Tickets are only $30.00 and this fundraiser benefits our preschool so we are encouraging you to attend. This is a really fun event. See Mrs. Mary for tickets. Sunday, April 28th, Trevino's Mexican Restaurant is hosting a drive-thru Chile Verde dinner for $15 per tickets. This fundraiser is benefitting our very own Detective Joe Henderson who was featured on channel 30 news recently. We continue to pray for him during his fight against brain cancer. Please see Mrs. Mary for tickets. Grandparent's day is on Friday, May 4th. We will celebrate morning Mass and the May crowning of Mother Mary. After Mass, Grandparents and their grandchildren will enjoy a delicious breakfast, take a picture by the Mother Mary Statue and have a chance to visit our classroom. If your child's grandparent will be attending, please make sure that you have turned in the RSVP form. If you have children that are in need of summer care, we have a summer program for children 2 1/2 to 6 years old. See Mrs. Mary for registration information. Our Kindergarten class is filling up quickly. If you have not already turned in your kindergarten registration, please do so or make arrangements in the office so that your child gets on the list. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica
