Weekly Update

Dear Families,

We had a great week last week.  I hope all of your children  enjoyed their first week of school as much as we did.  It's been fun getting to know them.  For the first few weeks of school we will continue to work on the "Rules of the Jungle."  Please reinforce them at home.  Nice hand, nice feet, and nice mouth.  If you are having any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with either one of us.  This blog is posted weekly at olmlancers.com under Mrs. Veronica's PreK.  You can also email me  at [email protected]

If you have not already sent in your child's school supply box, please try to get it in as soon as possible.  We will begin using our box this week. If you are having a hard time finding the correct glue, I was at Michael's and they had a very good supply of the Crayola glue.  It really is the best glue for the children.  It's really easy for them to use and it doesn't clog like Elmer's which can be so frustrating for them.  Please remember that we prefer that parent's do not send in backpacks as we do not have the space to store them.

It has been fun seeing the paw print projects coming in.  We are hanging them up as soon as we get them.  Keep them coming.  Please try to get them completed by the end of next week so that we can display them for Open house on the 28th.  After that, they will become your child's show and tell and we will send them home.  

This week the children will be helping us out with the morning message.  and we will learn about scissor safety, gluing, markers, and how to hold a crayon.  We will continue to review social stories and sing A LOT of songs.
