Dear Pre-K Families,
As we begin this last week before Thanksgiving break, we are reminded to be thankful for all the many blessings that we have. We are blessed with our family and friends and all the wonderful experiences we have had together this school year. We will continue to learn about being thankful to God. We have been learning about the first Thanksgiving where the Pilgrims and Native American Indians shared the delicious feast together. We have been making our Native American Indian costumes so that we may join Mrs. C's class who will be dressed as Pilgrims as we parade around the school and then come back to enjoy our annual turkey feast on Thursday. This past Friday, we had a lot of fun playing in our classroom teepee and pretend played by making a feast and pretending our ships were the Mayflower. It was definitely a 'fun Friday.' We have been working on letters that have curve lines; B, D, J and K, P, T. School will be closed the week of November 25th - 29th. We will reopen on Monday December 2nd for three weeks to finish out the 2019 year. Please save the date of Wednesday, December 18th for our school Christmas Play. The 8th graders put on a Christmas play at St. Patrick's church in the evening. Our class accompanies them. We have costumes for the children to wear. When we get back from Thanksgiving break, I'll know more and pass on information as soon as it is available to me. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica

Dear Pre-K Families,
Thank you to all who made our Halloween such fun. Tomorrow, Monday November 11th, is the Trevino take out dinner from 3:00 - 6:00pm in the back circle. Thank you to all who purchased tickets. We have 3 weeks before Thanksgiving break. We will be very busy. This week we will continue with the last 5 letters of the alphabet. We will be preparing for Veteran's Day by making cards for veterans and on Friday, we will attend the Veteran's Day assembly, where we will lead the pledge of allegiance along with Miss C's class at 8:30am. Children that attend on Friday should wear their blue OLM t-shirt with red, white and blue. We will be doing a lot of review this week. We will review patterns, how many is five, longer/shorter, syllables and rhyming. On Monday, November 11th, there will be no school so we may observe the Veteran's Holiday. We will celebrate November Birthdays on Wednesday November 20th. Thursday, November 21st, we will have our annual Thanksgiving feast. Our class will dress up like American Indians and Miss C's class will dress up as Pilgrims. We are asking all families to donate $3.00 each towards the cost of the feast. We will post a collection bag in the classroom. Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica |
