This will be final post for the 2016 year!
Last week, we worked with our 5th grade friends to put on the School Mass. The children did a great job at mass and we would like to thank Apollo for reading one of the petitions during Mass. Great Job! We would like to thank everyone that donated a gift and/or cans of fruit. The children carried them up to the alter to present as gifts. If you were not able to send in your wrapped toy or canned fruit, there is still time. Please refer to the December check list that I posted last week and the copy that I put in your child's file box. It will be a very busy week. Please rember that I would like to have all the children at school on Tuesday. We will have a dress rehearsal in the school auditorium. Families are welcome to watch. This is a good time to come in if you are not able to attend on Wednesday evening. If your child will not be attending the program on Wednesday evening, please let us know. We are very excited and the children have been working so hard on smiling, singing and even dancing. On Wednesday evening, please have your child arrive by 6:00pm to St. Patrick's Church. We will be in the Cry Room. We will have all the costumes there ready to dress the children. Please have your child wear something comfortable and easy to put the costume right over. A simple t-shirt and casual pants are best under the costumes. It is best to check in your child with us and then find a seat. The church fills up fast. Each of your children have been assigned to an 8th grade buddy. The buddy will guide the through the program and hold onto them until the end. When the program is over, we will be taking a group picture. After the picture, you may pick up your child. Please be patient as the stage will become crowded with photographers. Once you pick up your child, please return the costume to us so that we know you and your child are together. If you have any questions, please contact one of us. We would like to wish you and your families a very blessed Christmas season. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica and Mrs. Romero

Dear Pre-K Families, We are already into this busy month of December. We have a lot going on this month so I will try and get it on to one paper so we can all stay on the same page together. Please see December checklist on the attached page. We have two alpha friends this month, last week we worked on Hattie Horse Hh and this week we will work on Jumping Jill Jj. We are leaning about Advent. We have been making Advent wreaths and talking about waiting for Jesus during the 4 weeks of December. We do not have a preschool theme as Advent is the most important thing this month. We will also be learning about St. Nicolas as his feast day is on Tuesday. The week after that, we will learn about Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will be presenting Mass with our 5th grade reading buddies on Thursday, December 8th as we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Our class will be presenting toys as a gift during Mass. Please see the family envelope for information to donate a wrapped toy and indicate boy/girl and appropriate age. We would like to have the gifts before Thursday so the children can carry them up to the alter during mass. We are also asking for a donation of canned fruit to donate to the food drive. Families are always invited to attend Mass. We will be in the Christmas program with the 8th graders on Wednesday, December 14th. We will have dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 13th in the morning . We have costumes for the children so please dress them in comfortable clothes that we can just layer their costume right over. Each child has been assigned a part and assigned to an 8th grade buddy. We will continue to practice in the auditorium this week. Please contact us if you have any questions.
