Welcome to the first day of school!!! It was so nice to see most of you on Meet the Teacher Night. If you have any question, please contact me. You can stay informed by checking the blog weekly at olmlancers.com. My email is [email protected].
If you were not able to make it to Meet the Teacher Night, there is some paperwork in your child's cubby. Also, please pick up a show and tell poster. This is a poster about your child. It is a take home project. Please bring it back completed by Wednesday, August 16th. This will be your child's first show and tell for the year. For the first day, please share a good bye with your child and it is always best if you exit the classroom. We will take care of things from there. This is the best approach if your child has a hard time with separation. We will spend the first two weeks learning all the rules of our classroom. This is a very important time when we establish repetition and rules. Our main rules of preschool are 'nice hands, nice feet, nice mouth.' Remembering these three rules will help us stay safe and navigate through our day successfully. I have had much success with classroom management songs. So be prepared to hear a lot of singing! Snack will be provided daily. There is a snack calendar on the bulletin board where you can sign up to bring snack. Milk will be provided. It is very important to please sign you child in and out each day with a full signature. Please check the file box for any information or take home items. The file box is for parents/guardians and teachers only. If your child stays for lunch, please pack their lunch pail with cold packs. Please do not put lunch pails in the refrigerator. We are able to warm up food in the microwave if your child likes leftovers or frozen foods. Please remember that we do not have room to store backpacks so please do not send them. I am really excited to share my 10th year at OLM with your family and your student. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year. Thank you, Mrs. Veronica
