Dear Mrs. Veronica’s Pre-kindergarten class,
We had a wonderful first week!! It has been so exciting getting to know your children. They have been building friendships and learning about rules and routines. It was unfortunate that Mass was canceled this past Friday. We will look forward to attending this upcoming Friday. This week, we will continue to reinforce rules and routines. Our preschool rules are nice hands, nice feet and nice mouth. Rules are established to keep us all safe and routines help the children feel comfortable so they know what to expect. We will continue to learn about them through social stories and classroom management songs. This week we will learn about personal space and breathing techniques used to calm down. We will continue to practice using our three fingers to grip our crayon as we continue to explore pre-writing strokes in our Fine Motor Journals. We will also continue learning about our classroom centers and begin building scissor skills by ripping paper and using our glue sticks. In our social emotional curriculum, we will learn about the listening rules. Our Nursery Rhyme will be Humpty Dumpty. Most importantly, we will have an introduction to the Bible, and learn about the importance of God’s words in the Bible. Please check for this weekly update on our classroom blog weekly at OLMLancers.com We would like to thank you all for your patience as we continue to learn about our new Playground app. It has been challenging and will continue to evolve. We want to continue to give it a fair shot. This week, Mrs. Mary would like everyone to sign in on the teacher's device. I will ask the health questions, record the temperature and log each child in. I will then pass you a stylus pen to sign in with. Please remember that it is required by licensing for us to acquire a full complete signature. The signature must include your full first and last name. Again, We thank you for your patience. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Please remember to apply mosquito spray to your child before school. If your child feels cold inside the classroom, please have them bring a light sweater. We keep the fans going to circulate fresh air inside. Please remember that open-toed shoes are not allowed at preschool. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact me at [email protected] or chat with me on the Playground app. Have a blessed week Thank you, Mrs. Veronica
