Dear Pre-K Families,

We are in week #2 of our animal theme.  We will be talking about animals on the farm, in the zoo, in the jungle and in the ocean.  We will be working on letters Vv, Jj & Nn.   We will also be learning about the presidents and money.  In our social emotional curriculum, we will be learning about managing waiting.  

During small groups, we will doing 'broken heart' math, making a nest, writing the word nest and learning about being kind and writing a sentence.  Mrs. Romero will work on the letter Jj in our handwriting books.  

Our Fun Friday activity this week will be Valentine's Day.  If your child does not attend school on Fridays, they may attend the morning session which will end at 11:30.  If your child would like to bring valentine cards to share with their friends,  please have them bring in 19.  Valentine cards are a great way for them to practice writing their name.  Please have your child write their own name on each card.  Please  leave the To: spot blank.  There is a sign up sheet posted in the classroom for the Valentine's  Day snack if your family would like to contribute.

If you would like to have a parent teacher conference, there is also a sign up posted.  If you are in need of a different day or time, please let me know. I am happy to work with you.  

Please remember that we will be closed the week of February 17th through the 21st for winter break.
